Starting Over

Premiere Pro keeps malfunctioning and I don't understand why. Every problem I have is different than the last and I just lost 2 hours of work so I have to do it all over again.I'm just so sad and I don't want to edit this video. I really don't like working with videos. I'm so much better at print projects. I kind of wish there had been a print option when we chose all of our projects but I'm glad I chose the music video over the other options.

This box popped up in place of my video clips and I'm really confused as to why since I have all of the video clips saved on my laptop and that's where I uploaded them all from. Oh well, back to work I guess. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Logo

I tried a few logo ideas that I thought I could use for Anish. I didn't have many ideas so I just played with the few that I had. Here are the options:

I like the AG for Anish Ghosh and I like the idea of incorporating a guitar since that is his main instrument. I also kind of like the AH. I just don't think any of these are really what I'm looking for. maybe I've been staring at them for too long, I'll wait a day and look at them again to decide if I like any of them or not.

Premiere Pro

It's official, Premiere Pro HATES me. I tried putting my video clips on premiere to start editing about a week ago and it inverted all of my footage. I had to close the program and I've just run into problem after problem. This happens every time I use premiere to edit video but I don't know of any alternative I can use on a windows computer. I've been going on YouTube to find all the different tutorials and so far that has been helping me move along with the editing. I've also been getting help form Zoe since she's so good at editing and has been doing this for such a long time.

I've reviewed the clips and as of now the only shots I need are the ones of the party scene. I'll finish everything by Friday so I know exactly what I need from the party.

Pictures

It kind of feels like Premiere Pro has it out for me. I've already encountered some problems so I've decided to work on the website and digipak some more. They're coming along really well but I feel like some more pictures would be good to have a lot of variety. I guess I'll set up a shooting day with Anish to get some studio shots since I already have nature/environment pics.

Filming Day

I filmed most of the music video yesterday! We got a lot of good shots of Anish and DH Valentino singing their parts. Mickey didn't show up so I don't know if I should try to set up a day to film him too because I'm already kind of behind schedule and I just want to move forward. I might be able to include him in the party scene if he shows up for it since that's when he has a large role in the song. I'm gonna start editing the video with Premiere Pro. Hopefully I have everything I need. 

I've also been ignoring the website a bit so I'm going to get on that.

Promo Stuff

I was able to shoot some pictures yesterday and I talked to Anish to try to get to know him better so I can accurately portray him. I started editing one image and I think I want to have it be a poster for the album. I feel like I can incorporate this poster into my digipak but I have to do some research first to make sure that's a good idea.

 

I've also looked up some examples of digipaks and I'm drawn to the ones that have multiple parts and are a bit complicated/different. Below are some examples of ideas I've been thinking of incorporating into the digipak.

The overall theme of the promotional products as well as the album and website is natural, vibrant colors. I really think this will go well with the vibe Anish gives off which is very laid back but also very present.

Shooting Canceled

So my rappers canceled on me at the last minute and everyone isn't available until next Sunday so I'm set back another week. Tomorrow I'm meeting with Anish to shoot pictures for the website and Digipak. I really hope I can get everything done in time.
